A Splendid Week!

June 23, 2013

Wow you went and watched USA Play Honduras thanks I'm bummed now lol jk.   Things are great I have had a Splendid week and I learned to love more and have better patience with my self and others.   I have to remember when you are building a house you only want the best supplies just like a foundation you want the Strongest stones I always remember this and try to do my best and finding those who are ready to follow our savior and redeemer.  I got to baptize my favorite person, a guy named Sam Momo he is a sweet kid and I had the opportunity to help him to know his savior Jesus Christ.   I'm grateful every waking moment while I am here, I know truly I have changed into someone way different and in a greater way.   I love telling people about this gospel and the Restoration of it, I love to see peoples eyes when they realize that our message is true and that God really loves them and has a Plan for them,  I love it so much.   Sam is now preparing to serve a mission he has one year till he can go.    He told me this and I want to share it with all of you, the night of his baptism he had a dream that he was walking the streets with our savior and he was talking to him about the things that he has planned for him to do in his life, Sunday I was told this, after sacrament meeting,  I know with honest conviction that what he told me is true and that it was in fact a dream that was ment to happen.   The testimony that this young man now has blows my mind he has only been just baptized,  but the things he knows blows me away.   I know that in his dream other things were mentioned and that through the holy ghost he was able to learn these things there is no other way.   Its so sweet,  this is something I hold dear to me and I felt like I wanted to share it with all of you :), Mom and Dad I miss you but things are so sweet here I think I only miss you on P-Days though I am not sure lol :) Well I got to go things are so awesome here in Liberia the Best mission in the world!  That's the truth and nothing but the truth ;) Love you all and hope that you are doing all you can to be great Examples and remember what son or daughter you are! Ate a BIG SNAIL!

June 18, 2013
Hey Everyone :) this week was a really great week, had pink eye for the last 3 days but its gone now :),  I was able to baptize Two people last Saturday, Randalf and Jessetta they are amazing individuals and have over came so many obstacles and have remained faithful to the things that we taught them and they always told us how good it feels to have missionaries around them and the area, I'm so grateful especially for Randalf  he really has strived to become a member of this true church, he has finally made it.  When he bore his testimony after being baptized, it almost tore me apart the spirit was so strong.   I love this man so much and am grateful that he has put his trust in god and and is now preparing to serve a full time Mission.   I'm so proud of him and his diligence, and faith, and his testimony of the Gospel of Jesus Christ how great it will be when he makes it to the Temple I am so super pumped for him and the Great journey a head of him.   Now, Jessetta finally broke up with her boyfriend and has lived the law of Chasity and was able to be Baptized Saturday she was so happy and couldn't stop smiling, she is such a sweet girl and has a lot to look forward too in her life, and i know that she will do great.   No doubt in my mind that she will remain faithful. Well the week was great I got to eat a really big snail, it tasted really gross :) but still it was a great experience.   I am pretty sure I lost a lot of kisses from that one, who wants to kiss a missionary who has eaten a slimy snail ;)  Anyways,  said our last goodbye to President Roggia Monday at Zone Conference, all the zones came this time 74 Missionaries :) it was sweet, that's why today is P-Day,  Well President Roggia has taught me a lot of things and I'm applying them in my life here on my mission to help change me and Strengthen me for my life ahead.

I will truly miss this man, but President Kirkham is going to do Great things too and I'm going to serve him faithfully, my very best! Everyone that is writing me Make sure you use the Liberia address from now on for letters and packages thanks :) Well I got to go i miss you Mom Dad ivy Benton Ethan/Kenzey And all my dear Friends have a Great week Always Choose the Right and I promise you will find more happiness in your lives.

New Companion!

June 3, 2013

Zone conference
Zone Conference
Had a GREAT week,  got a little boy, Joseph Baptized Saturday and confirmed Sunday.  It was great he will grow so much,  I'm excited for him and what he will become.  My new companion Elder Osayi is a Nigerian and we get along very well.   He really knows his Scriptures well probably just as well as Dad.   I am grateful for him and the blessing he is in my life now.  I have grown  so much from this last week and have been teaching a lot of people.   I don't know why but people have been coming to us like wildfire in high winds.  We have a lot of progressing investigators they are growing in a huge way.   I know that they know that this church is the only true Church on the earth and want to be better.   June 15 we are planning on a big baptismal day :) :) Transitioning to my new Companion has been easy,  it was hard to say goodbye to Elder Elliott but its just a part of growing on mission.   Things have been going so well, the joy that I feel, I don't know how to Explain it.  I feel like I don't have enough time to teach people.   Three months is here and time is going by too  fast for me!!!  Looks like Benton found some wicked elk sheds that sweet. glad things are going well.   I am sorry to here that about Wayne he was truly a great example to all of us, send my condolences to them and their family,   I will pray for them. Mom,  its alright to tell me things I have alot of things going on and am too busy to let things really get in my way! :) I am deeply saddened though to hear of Zac's Death, wow,  but lets us remember that god has given us a Plan and we need fear not for what happens after death.  We know where we are going and that things are always going to be okay,    even in times of struggle.   God gives us  these challenges  to see if we will be faithful to him.   Every one is always in my prayers.  Something I was studying, on how we will be judged when judgment comes, watch what we say cause we will be judged by our words, our thoughts and even  our works.  Let us always keep christ in our hearts, I promise that if we do that we will not need to worry about the things we do say or think. Dad,  Testimony is Powerful Beyond Discription I have seen first hand the Power Behind a Pure and Simple Testimony,
I want to finish with my Testimony, that this church, the church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is true that The Covenants and Promises that are made with in this gospel are true and Ever lasting, I Know that the Temple Is where We can Make sacred covenants with our Father in Heaven, the Book of Mormon is the WORD of God, that Our Father in Heaven knows all things Even What We can Become, I Know that Thomas S Monson is our Prophet Called of God to Guide his children in these Last Days, I Know that  Joseph Smith Translated the Book Of Mormon  and helped Erect the True Church Back on the Earth today with the help of God, I know testimonies can Change Peoples Lives in the Blink of an Eye, I know that With Faith All things are Possible, I love you all have a great week,  Follow the Prophet and Choose the Right!   Love Elder Erickson
