Yeah I missed Emailing you all, the internet can suck bad some days, oh well life goes on as always, I had a super week, had some sweet things happen and last week was my last, to spend with my Companion Elder Myaka.   Transfer news has came and he is leaving our Area and will become a Zone leader in another Zone.   I'm proud of him and his accomplishments , on the other hand I will be staying in our area, I will become a trainer.   I don't know who my new Companion is yet but you will know next week, I am super excited to Train, I am super Excited to learn from my New companion, and to hear his testimony,   It will be so cool these next 12 weeks, to learn and grow and become stronger, and more converted to this Wonderful Gospel.   So Elder Zaugg is becoming my Zone leader,  Weird haha but its cool too.  I have 4 MTC buddies in our apartment and some great friends as well.   I am going to miss my companion Elder Myaka we have built up an Everlasting Friendship, cant wait to see him in the Future.  My investigators are doing well, some progressing some treading water, we hope for baptisms in the next 4 weeks a lot of work but it will get done.   Glad to hear that Grandpa can hit a deer still, and I think Benton is still striking out ;) haha.   I am Glad that everyones week has gone well, Mom I can Testify that Prayer is the Most Effective thing we have in this life, to communicate with a very loving God who wants the best for all of us, he wants us to pray to him always, so he can feel our love.   I know you have a sincere Love for our Heavenly Father Mom cause you Pray to him, I Feel Them and I am Strengthened From them.   I know that if we all love God and we are All Great at Praying In the Morning, Afternoon, and At night, or when ever we have an opportunity  we will be blessed. Dad thank you for the Email I Love the Guidance and Council that I receive from it and the strength that it gives me, I LoVe and MiSs You all, have a great week, listen to the spirit and Choose the Right ,Love Elder Erickson

I didnt get an email today,  Others received one so Im going to assume that they had the typical power outage while he was at the internet cafe.  I did find a picture of him on the Mission web site from their conference with Elder Vinson of the Seventy that they had this past week.

Mission work can be hard and exhausting, but the rewards are worth it!

 

Hey Family and Friends :)

This week was super Busy, worked super hard and tried to get people to come to church only two came out of 15 people that have been doing so amazing I guess satan got the best of them in their activities this week, but I am grateful for the two that have been very faithful.  Winifred and Victory,  these two women will soon be baptized,  I hope and pray anyways.

We were looking for sisters who would be able to make it in leadership positions in the church and from what me and Elder Myaka see that's what they will become.  We accomplished a lot this week and climbed some big spiritual and mental mountains as well. Merrill Borwah is a great guy from my older area, he will leave in October for his mission in Nigeria.  Sounds good to hear that the archery hunt went well for dad, Benton sorry, you had an opportunity, I know if you would have used my bow it would have improved your chances ;) jk

Sounds like Meetings are going well with dad I am sure you enjoy doing that with him mom.   I have had pleny of dreams of bulls bugling and big bucks in the pines and meadows lately :) I enjoy them when the time  comes. Glad to hear that Ethan and Kenzey are doing well and that everything is working out. Its true that missionary work can be hard it can be exhausting and very demanding but When you watch someone feel the Spirit and then watch them change their lives it brings insurmountable feelings of Joy and that is Priceless.     I  love you all and hope that all of you have a great week Love Elder Erickson

The Blessings of Tithing

HELLO EVERYONE
This week has been Super Duper, we have Reaped many Blessings from our hard work this week and it has been soo good to feel great success with our Investigators, not everyone we wanted came to church for us this week but we know that they all have problems and that they deal with and we are trying to be Patient with them :)  no letters Yet, I have sent 2 or 3 last week, Dad Shot a Bambi he could of grown up into a Giant buck for me to shoot when i get home geez thanks Dad, Just kidding that's great, I'm waiting for the jerky ;) haha Benton Kill Something! I am Glad that Ethan and Kenzy have made it safely and are settling down, and that his boss is LDS that's a great blessing in this world. Dang the Elk are starting to bugle thats fantastic I miss that roar of a bull elk Screaming through the Ceders, Glad things are going good at home that's Always a good thing :)
this week we have had 1 Baptism Satta Sorseah her husband was last week now they are both excited and nervous for their journey in this life of Happiness. We are also being pushed by  President Kirkham to get everyone to pay tithing in our Branches and its a lil tough cause some people have been taken advantage of be heartless false churches and robbed and they are really having a hard time to give only a small 10% not everyone but a few.   I Love talking about Tithing, because I know of the blessings that come from being a full tithe payer, when I was young I was taught how to do it and the importance of it, as I got older it has stuck with me if I want to be successful in my life and enjoy happiness, and reap temporal, and spiritual blessings I need to pay my tithes.  I promise you that the Lord will help all those who already have found the truth, and made promises with God, how to be an honest and Faithful full tithe payer, I do my best to plant that seed in all my Investigators hearts so that it will grow stronger and stronger through out the years,I know that people are confused about this Principal and Commandment that God has given us. They say I wont have enough money for food or for rent and so on and make so many Excuses to break a commandment, but we all need to understand the the Lord gives us a great size portion of blessings than he wants us to be faithful and give a very small amount back to him, than if we do this He will open the Heavens and there will not be room enough for us to receive the blessings that He will bestow on us and our families. I know that it is important for the Poor but Beautiful people that live here in Liberia to pay tithes Like President Hinckley says that it will cure their Financial Wounds and help them become Financially stable in this economy and built upon the Rock that Jesus Christ has laid out for all of us. I think that this can Relate to the Parable: The pearl of Great Price Found in (Matthew 13:45-46) When we find something that is of Great Value or that is Priceless, We want do all that we can to obtain it, Such as the "Kingdom of God", a lot of us as latter day Saints tend to get to comfortable and become lenient and when we do this we aren't doing all that we can to obtain that which our Father in Heaven has given us, Mission has taught me not to become lenient, or slothful or comfortable, and its important to be on our toes, cause when an opportunity to help someone change their life for eternity comes along we can act fast and help them, or to make a right decision or even to be ready for that day when the Messiah will come. I love this parable because I Know if we and our brothers and sisters, our Friends and neighbors know if we give back to the lord especially in tithing we will one day Receive our reward, and if we are paying tithing fully we will most likely be keeping all other commandments as well, and will Receive the Kingdom of God as our Reward. This is my Promise to you all that if we keep this Commandment and follow it with our hearts and become full tithe payers we will be fully blessed to the point that we will not be able to receive it. What a great Blessing from God, I so Testify that this is true in the Sacred name of Jesus Christ Amen.   Hope you all have a great week Love and Miss you all.

NAPHWEADEA Every one!

This Week has been super good, we had 2 baptisms Saturday YAY and we had some very important people come to church, God Played a big role in our week, well every week he does I just noticed a lot more miracles this week. I am Enjoying my new area and already know it very well, me and my companion are working together very well, and I Love this guy to death, we have fun and enjoy each other, going to be a great Eternal Friendship :)  

Glad to hear that you got a letter, I Got two Packages and a Dear Elder, thanks for the Scarf , and snacks.   I Enjoyed them Greatly so did everyone else. Last I hear Randalf has typhoid :/ he is doing great other than that and is strong in faith now :) Benton, Dad  Let this be a lesson to both of you when you get a deer Tag you are supposed to kill the Deer, not to try and hit the tree on the other side of it.  So get some meat on the ground and Send me some Jerky :) thanks! I miss the Temple Like Crazy! President Kirkham came to our Branch  on Sunday for a conference, During Sunday school he asked who wanted to go to the temple in Dec when they go I Raised My hand, and my Request got Denied it was worth a try :) haha Good fun, its Nice to have a Mission President Presence in the mission, and in the areas, gives us hope and a greater desire to become better missionaries and individuals.  

Mom Don't worry about Ethan and Kenzey and their travel, they will be Fine and watched over and Protected I promise. Honestly I received revelation that they had a job opportunity in Oklahoma before I even knew from you guys.   I came to me after I prayed for them,  I sat there for maybe 10 mins in my room and Oklahoma came to my mind, and Ethan and Kenzey then came into my mind.   When I received the email that said they got a job in Oklahoma I knew that my prayers and many others had been answered.   Tells you that God does Answer our prayers. This week we worked super hard to find people to teach almost all of our lessons got bounced and it was rough, and discouraging.   Me and my companion turned to the lord and knelt in prayer and then we knew we needed to go to another location that someone was searching for us there.  As we went we ran in to a Girl named Winifred, she was so excited to see us, she said that she has been praying day and night that she would run into the black man and white man from the LDS church.  We talked with her and shared a message with her, Sunday she came to church, after her we ran into a Muslim man, we really didn't want to teach him cause they conflict all the time here but we took time and listened to him.   He says that he knows that Jesus Christ is the son of God, he had a dream about it, in his dream he saw two missionaries and they came and talked with him and shared a message with him called the Gospel of Jesus Christ.  When we meet him he said that everything has happened the Exact same way in his dream and then he was waiting at that spot for us to come and meet him.   What great faith he has to wait at that spot for us, I know that if we didnt pray and seek guidance we never would of ran into both of these great People, I'm excited to help them to know their Savior and Redeemer and to grow in testimony. I love you all and miss you, Love Elder Erickson !!HAVE A GREAT WEEK!!
