April 8, 2013
My week went good, we could have done better but the things that
happened
at the end of the week were amazing. We were supposed to have 9
baptisms
we got one and I had the opportunity to baptize a sister and child of
god. Her name is Rebbecca,

she is so sweet I love her to death and I
am
trying really hard to make sure that she will stay a member. The lord
has worked a lot in her life, I have noticed it. The spirit was so
strong
at the baptisms as it has been ever since I've felt it and I love the
feeling. I love teaching people its my favorite thing to do. I love
walking
through the trees and the bush and through villages to teach people it
never gets old, this Saturday we are planning on 10 baptisms I hope they
go through, and only wish that they knew the great things that can
happen in their lives if they strive for the spirit of god and eternal
life. There have been many miracles this week, I confirmed a member of
the church Sunday it was really sketchy. I have never felt the spirit
like
that before. A Temple in Cedar city, yes I knew the day would come
sooner

or later, great things happen all round us. I'm glad the church is
spreading to every continent kindred and ear, people are flocking to
the
church here and its really hard to keep up. We will be getting more
missionaries in 3 weeks and I think I might become a trainer way soon.
I'm
scared for it, but very excited. I missed conference, but its
alright. West Africa, I hope will have a temple in it in the next 2
years. I really
hope, the people need it here so bad, the church will grow so much if
it
gets one. I'm glad dad is trying to catch fish, keep workin on it dad
you
might become as good as me one day lol jk, I'm excited you guys are
having
fun. I think we will go golfing in 2 weeks to the course they have
near by. I really could use a hamburger, I hate rice so much I'm sick
of
it hahaha, its goona kill me!!!! I'm glad conference and family time
was
fun, grandma Erickson will be in our prayers here in Africa. I miss
the
temple so much right now, I can tell I haven't gone for a while wish I
could go, I realize how important it is to me. Thank you for the
testimony
mom, I love you, it strengthened mine so much and has given me
strength. Both you and dad and every one else has.

| Not sure what this is, Hope its not lunch! |
I know with out a doubt that this church is true. that these are the
days to prepare to meet god our father, the time is coming that Jesus
Christ will come to the earth again and its coming fast. I know that
God and Jesus Christ love us and want whats best for us, they will be
there for the victories and the losses in our lives, but they will
always be there. I know that Thomas S Monson is called of God and he
tells us the things of God to help direct us in our lives. I know that
Joseph Smith saw God the Father and his Son Jesus Christ in the spring
of 1820. What a glorious day it was and what a glorious day it is to be
harvesting the field here in Africa, for the field is white ready to
harvest. I'm grateful that I am among the lord and my brothers serving
him to bring to past the immortality of men.

| Elder Robbie Gurr, from Beaver, Stopped by the MTC to say hello |
I know that the Book of
Mormon is the word of god. I know the scriptures guide our lives and
answers our prayers, I am grateful for Joseph and the sacrifices he made
in his life cause he knew that these teaching were of god. The
divinity
of this great and marvelous book help us become closer to god and help
strengthen our lives. I am so humbled to be here in Africa I love the
kids the people and I really want everyone here to know about these
things.
This church is true in the name of Jesus Christ amen, I love
you
all very much even my older brother Ethan, for the example he is to me
and the testimony he has in this church and of God, I love you Ethan
and
am grateful for you example to me. Remember your father in heaven loves
you pray to him for strength he will help, love you all so very much and
thanks for the testimonies love Elder Erickson
