HEY EVERYONE I'm doing alright, we had a really tough
week. A
lot of Adversity and a lot of challenges but we really pushed through
it. I don't think I have ever prayed so much in one week and spent so
much
time on my knees asking for strength and for energy, and the Spirit.
But things have gotten better and I'm Grateful that my Father in Heaven
answers my prayers. We didn't have very many baptisms this week in the
whole zone, as a companionship we had ZIP but its alright. We had 6
investigators come up to Service and made me plenty happy. The
language is
getting better and better every day, its hard to speak English, the
American English is called cerise here. I don't think I have said the
area where I'm serving at, its called Logan Town its really a great
place I
would be fine staying here for two years because of the people. I went
on
exchanges Friday with Elder Finau he is really a awesome Missionary and
is our DL. He does such a great job keeping us going each day. We
taught in his area, I loved it. Its called Point 4, its a great
place. At
the end of the day we were able to go to the Beach and watch the sun
set. One of the most amazing evenings I have ever had, the wonder of
the
sun, the universe, and God all in my head as I watched the sun go
down below the water. I will never Forget it!!! I am Glad you heard
about
the girl I didn't want to retype it again. The Priesthood is such an
amazing power that god has trusted his sons with. To be an example or
to
show his love and to hold this church together in these last days. No
packages yet maybe in a month it takes a while, couples come tomorrow I
hope they have letters. We walk a lot, I walk fast but I've got to
stay the
pace with my Companion or I will lose him, I guess I get that from shed
hunting. We take motorcycles everywhere too and they get crazy on
them, my
fear is I will get in a crash on one. I am in the bush most the time
and I eat little doughnut ball things from the bakery in the morning
they are really good. We eat at members and non members but not a lot.
So, I'm mostly the one teaching now I love it so its not ever hard or
boring. I
would teach the whole lesson if I could but than I would be selfish to
my companions testimony and his promptings from the spirit. I could
train
after this week of training but I still have 5 more weeks left to
train. I hope I'm not a trainer, but whatever the lord needs I'm
willing. We have all been thinking about home all week so its been
depressing, we
try not to but when it comes in our minds it stays lol. Glad everyone is
getting better hope Ivy starts to feel good. tell Benton even if its
cold to keep shed hunting cause I was out in some of the worst weather
conditions picking bone like crazy, just keep yours eyes open and go to
where the elk are. Has anyone picked the other side of that big 4 point I
found before I left? I love everyone have a great week and be safe.
Love Elder Logan Dalton Erickson
