Hey Everyone,
this week was (super duper) week, super duper means everything is going
well her in Africa and I hear it all the time with our investigators, no
baptisms this week, but its alright no one has prepared them selves for
it. We might have some this week, we don't know, we have found some more
investigators and I notice as we teach people that the light of Christ
shines brighter in some than it does others. This week had a lot of
opportunities to bless people as a small wave of malaria swept through
our area. I want to share one experience that deals with that and how
powerful this priesthood power is. We were in the middle of teaching
priest quorum when a father came to us wanting us to give his daughter a
blessing, this young girl looked terrible and was shaking terribly and
gnashing her teeth. We did as the spirit directed and blessed her, my
companion said at the end of the blessing "peace be unto you our little
sister and command that your body be healed" after my companion said
these small words she stop shaking and look up at us with a big smile on
her face and the spirit filled the room beyond what i can explain. This
power is real and it is here for us to use in our lives and others as
well. To all you priesthood holders who may read this keep your selves
worthy of this power you never know when you are going to be called to
use it. I think a lot of us undermine the divinity of this blessing and
even the trust that is involved with this power, God expects us to use
it for good, key word there "USE" when we aren't using it, or are
putting our selves in situations that make us unworthy to use it, WE are
being selfish to our selves and to others around us. When our pioneers
crossed the plains when they were sick or distraught, or in times of
struggle they turned to the faith they had in the power of the
Priesthood. I have a solid Promise to all of you Priesthood holders that
if you do your best to serve in your callings and in your homes, and to
put your self in the best circumstances, that god will lead and direct
you to use your Priesthood power for good and for the blessing of others
and your self. COOL, okay sorry I just do as I'm am directed I have
learned this so far on mission to act on prompting from the Holy Ghost.
